FPB 64’ GREY WOLF – the voyage continues

November 28, 2014

2014 has been a big year for Peter Watson’s FPB 64 GREY WOLF.   She blogged during her epic voyage from Auckland to the Channel Islands.  With Berthon apprentice’s on board sharing legs of the voyage, we lived her voyage back here at Berthon.  It still makes great reading –

On arrival in the Channel Islands, once the party was over, she headed to Berthon for a very minor pitstop and a celebration of her adventure.   We had glorious sunshine, lots of champagne and a great seminar for which our great friends from Dashew Offshore joined us.

GREY WOLF then headed back to her home port of the Channel Islands with the MBY team on board.

During her time with us, she charmed Motorboat & Yachting’s journalist Dave Marsh over to Alderney for supper and back – this is what he said:

It was then time to take in some Autumnal sunshine in the Med, so she hopped, skipped and jumped down to the Balearics and as we write is on her way home for some down time on her berth in St Peter port which, to date, she has used very little.

Despite all this, GREY WOLF doesn’t consider herself a celebrity, just a long distance cruising yacht that wants to get out and see it all!  Next season, she plans to take Peter and his crew to Norway and beyond.   We expect that she will continue to win hearts and minds in 2015, with her rugged individual good looks, great hospitality and no fuss does what it says on the tin systems.

Her big sister – BIG GREY WOLF is taking shape at Circa Marine just now, and 78#2 will be delivered at the end of 2015.   Like the current GREY WOLF and her sisters, it is planned that she will voyage far.
