After hundreds of thousands of sea miles, FPB has ultimately refined performance characteristics and efficiency into the new FPB 70. The FPB 70 incorporates elements that take this new model into a paradigm beyond even the FPB 78. After a lot of planning and design work, the first 2 FPB 70s are now becoming reality in the build sheds at Circa Marine in New Zealand. They are being built side by side, and now that they are advancing quickly, we thought that you might be interested to see how they come together. We will therefore be issuing fortnightly updates on progress. FPB 70#1 is schedule for launch early next year with FPB 70#2 following her.
Our first progress report is below –
The hull on FPB 70#1 is welded out with the tank lids ready to be fitted. The house top is due to go on in the coming days. Please have a look below –
FPB 70#2 is all framed up with the first hull plate now on. We are showing several images of the shaped hull plates ready to go but it is difficult to really get an idea of the shape from plate until it is fitted.
We will be updating you on the FPB 70 project fortnightly and for further information please do contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
