Oyster 62 joins the 20th Collection

August 22, 2014

Oyster 62 DORADO Berthon Collection
The Oyster 62’ is a bit special. To designs from the hand of Rob Humphreys, DORADO was made flesh at SYS in 2002, and is her owner’s third Oyster and the one that he chose to keep and which has served him and his family well. The teak interior veneers come from a single tree, chosen by him and the veneer matching is some of the best that we have even seen. With 2 double cabins forward, crew and side cabin and then with a great owners’ stateroom aft with separate access on deck she has the perfect family layout and works well with one or two crew for long distance passage making. DORADO sailed in the ARC in 2002 and was then based in the Caribbean for a number of years, where she was used in the Caribbean winters and tucked up ashore in the summers. She came back to the Solent a couple of years ago, and whilst perfect for children, grandchildren and all things waterborne, she is now more yacht than her current family need. She has never been raced, rallied (with one notable Atlantic exception) or put away remotely wet. Her interior is stunning and she is easily sailed with push button everything. She asks £775,000 and is ready for her next ARC or further
