‘The Sweeney’s doing ninety…’ (Squeeze, 1979)
Well not exactly, but KIWI SPIRIT has just arrived back in Lymington after a pretty impressive passage from a sunny Sotogrande to a not quite so sunny Lymington. Making the passage in less than a week, the crew pulled into Lymington on Friday morning looking far too fresh and well rested, and extolling the virtues of upright passage making.
The legendary KIWI SPIRIT is one of only two Discovery 50 Catamarans from 2010, making her a very special yacht indeed. Following purchase by her current owner, she underwent both a refit and optimization to the exacting requirements of her experienced owner for a circumnavigation.
Spec’d and inventoried to the nth there is simply nothing to add – from her systems to her sails – she is ready to go. In commission, afloat and available for viewing 7 days a week.
