DUET II is #2 of the most successful Oyster class ever to launch. Built for Richard Matthews the then owner of Oyster Yachts in 1998, she has a stunning American white oak interior which is in great shape. You can have a look at this in detail here –
She also comes with a strong and lovely carbon rig and fully battened mainsail. She is totally set up for shorthanded sailing and her current owners have sailed her far, including spending an extended period in the Pacific where owner Kitty put together the 3rd edition of the Pacific Crossing guide. DUET II was an essential part of this process. The publication is now available.
DUET II has been carefully updated and improved through life and offers her new owners the opportunity to go far. The reliability and safety of her sail plan puts the weight of the mainsail in absolutely the right place and means that there is no possibility of jamming.
The robust rod standing rigging is now due an update and if you would like pricing on this we will happily supply this.
In addition although all her systems are working well, her generator has now developed a personality and either needs surgery to remove this individualistic instincts or replacement. Again, we hold the pricing for this if needed.
As a DUET II’s replacement – no mast – plenty of engines – begins her programme, this Oyster 56 must be sold, and as such the price has now been adjusted to £295,000 + VAT.
If you are contemplating blue water cruising, DUET II must be on your shopping list. Perfect for any ocean, she is particularly fond of the Pacific and she already knows the way.
DUET II is lying ashore at Berthon and available for viewing 7 days a week.
