Berthon 20m Fast Patrol & Protection

The Berthon 22m Fast Patrol vessel has been developed as the next-generation fast patrol boat for naval, coast guard and police operations. The Advanced Planing Monohull (APM) hullform is a development of the proven hullform of the UK RNLI’s new Shannon Class Fast Lifeboat.

The APM hullform is a double-chine, warped, planing hullform with a fine entry and high freeboard forward, and wide stern sections with high form stability. In combination with the high deadrise angle amidships, the result is a soft riding craft with minimal slamming and deck wetting enabling a high speed to be maintained in higher sea states.
