The design of the Linssen Grand Sturdy 40.9 saloon is unique among motor-yachts in her class; that is why we have applied for copyright on this interior design. The substantial 4.3 metre beam enables a cosy sofa area, forward dinette and a raised galley to starboard with only a single step between. The whole area is lit by panoramic toughened glass windows, with generous storage and access to the fully insulated engine room. Two steps lead forward to the central corridor, with separate shower stall to starboard and the guest twin cabin to port. The fully-fitted forward heads compartment can be accessed from the main corridor and the double forward cabin. The rich Corian and the genuine leather – all standard, of course – sit harmoniously beside the deluxe American cherry wood. The private aft cabin with its own separate shower, wc, cupboards and drawers lies to the stern.

In Motor Boat & Yachting‘s words "the 40.9AC is an exceptionally appealing boat", and (interestingly if you are from a sailing background) "the 40.9 barely murmured on test. At idle you couldn’t tell if it was running; cruising, the wind made more noise than the engine." Add to this praise a great sea-boat which can sleep eight people in comfort - and you have a truly versatile cruiser.
