Berthon offer a comprehensive range of services for customers berthed at Lymington Marina. If there are any other services (listed below) that you need which are not covered here, please contact our Dockmaster’s office (which can be found on the ground floor of the Marina Building) and they will be delighted to help.
Berthon were proud to have unveiled their new washrooms. Arguably, these set the standard amongst marinas in Europe for design, attention to detail and attendant accoutrements. High quality stone and tiled surfaces, opaque glass cubicles with extra large shower trays and equivalent changing areas, an integral seat and hot box under, choice of shower heads, mirrors with heat pads to prevent misting, separate male and female family pods with washbasin and dual shower heads suitable for child use, baby changing facilities, and under floor heating throughout, we believe we have thought of nearly everything; however, add hairdryers, shower points, water free urinals (to save on water and reduce smell) and even a magnified mirror, and you should get the idea. Come and stay at the marina and sample them for yourself. The laundrette is on the ground floor behind the Dockmaster’s office. Ask the Dockmasters for tokens for the washing machine and dryer, ask for the iron for the ironing board.
At Berthon we recognize that it’s good to arrive for the weekend knowing that you will find your yacht gleaming so that you can enjoy using, rather than cleaning her. Also, after a cruise or weekend aboard, you may prefer to leave us to pump the bilges, wash the bright work or even do the washing up! The Boat Care Department at Berthon offer a comprehensive range of cleaning options, whether you are a Berthholder on a regular cleaning programme or a visitor requiring a one-off exterior wash-off, polish or interior valet. Below is an indication of our standard charges:
|Yacht Valeting Price Guide|
|Regular exterior wash-off||from £1.10 per foot|
|Polish and Wax||from £3.75 per foot|
|Interior Valet||from £27 per hour|
Two Lymington locals, fisherman Nigel and chef Liam, have united to give Lymington the opportunity to buy fresh local fish and have it cooked for them if they prefer. The idea is to let the fish speak for itself, to serve it simply and classically but in a modern, friendly and casual setting. Located within easy walking distance across the Berthon Boatyard, or from the Bath Road.
Local Fisherman Nigel Hockley has opened THE SHIPYARD-Fish Market, where people and businesses will be able to purchase his fish, and other products, for day-to-day buys, functions and restaurant supplies. On the other side of the door, chef’s Paul Jenkins and Liam Brennan will be cooking the fish in THE SHIPYARD- Bar & Kitchen. The emphasis will be on ‘catch of the day’ fare, cooked simply and served with seasonal produce. The cooking style will be mostly European. Paul has a strong background in this area; working at places like RAC private members club, J Sheeky’s, The Ivy, The Pig and various places in the Carribean and Australia. Liam has an extensive knowledge of food and wine gained whilst travelling and working in Europe. He also has great culinary insight into local New Forest cuisine.
The restaurant’s other aim is to be as environmentally friendly as possible. They will attempt to achieve this by:
