Berthon has been synonymous with yacht services and yacht building since 1877, and we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in this area.
With 100 skilled craftsmen, at modern boatyard facilities in Lymington, Hampshire, Berthon has the ability to deal with all aspects of yacht and motor boat repairs, refits, maintenance and servicing. We are also able to project manage yacht and boat construction or fit-out projects at the highest level.
At our Lymington boatyard, the dedication to providing the best marine services is key to the yard’s success. We operate an apprenticeship scheme and many of our craftsmen have been with us throughout their working life, ensuring best practices get passed on.
You may have seen, perhaps, in the Solent or on the Thames, the 1936 78ft Gentleman’s Motor Yacht Bounty. Completely restored and transformed at Berthon, she was relaunched in April 2008 looking absolutely fabulous, ready for her next three-score years and twelve, and available for charter. Please visit our photographic history of the Bounty refit.
One of our team of experienced yacht repair and maintenance managers will advise you and organise all work to your requirements, for both motor and sailing yachts. We are normally able to take on last minute pit-stops for yacht repair and refurbishment.
Large refits, fit-outs and boat construction are handled by a separate team of experienced marine project managers. We also have a dedicated team of yacht cleaners to keep your pride and joy shipshape – inside and out, all year round.
