LAETITIA was this owner’s second Baltic and she was conceived and built for fast, rewarding family sailing. With her stunning blue livery, practical and beautiful clear deck layout, and understated and beautifully crafted interior, she is perfect for both family sailing and regattas. Her drop keel gives her moderate draft for cruising and her rig which has recently been re-rigged and re-painted and her North sail wardrobe promise more good sailing to come. LAETITIA has clearly been maintained regardless of cost and she has many features and great ideas to enhance sailing, handling and living enjoyment for her crew. She is easily handled by family crews and has sailed extensively in the Mediterranean as well as crossing the Atlantic in the ARC and cruising the Caribbean and the East Coast of the USA, before shipping back to Europe. She comfortably achieves 220 nautical mile days whilst on passage and will power upwind at 11 knots with ease. Downwind 24 knots has been recorded whilst on passage. LAETITIA is an exceptional yacht and that needs to be seen to be appreciated.
I had LAETITIA built at Baltic Yachts as a family yacht so that we could sail together when onboard. Whilst we have a Captain who cherishes LAETITIA and who has been involved with her since we started her build, we are able to handle the yacht easily without him onboard when we wish. As a fast, safe and rewarding sailing yacht she has delivered in all respects. We specified large hatches in the main saloon together with toughened glass panels outboard, which allow sunlight to flood into the accommodation. This is further enhanced by large port windows in the saloon and owners’ cabin.
