The start of the season is now upon us and the marina is a hive of activity once again. Our team of Dockmasters were rushed off their feet over the Easter bank holiday weekend which was the busiest for a number of years. It was great to see so many return along with new visitors at Berthon.
So, as spring has finally sprung, we take a look at the Moody 54 ISIS OF SALCOMBE as she goes through a spruce-up here by the Berthon boat valeting team, making sure she is shipshape for sale this coming season.
ISIS OF SALCOMBE is currently ashore with Berthon. One aspect of the service that we offer is a regular wash-downs by our dedicated yacht valeting team. Details of the charges are on our website – Lymington Yacht Valeting. When she was lifted out of the water onto one of the three Sales Gantries behind the main offices, ISIS OF SALCOMBE had her engine and generator serviced and winterized, batteries and sails checked and stored, and she was connected to shore power. This still allows ship’s services to be run and heaters and dehumidifiers used depending on the season, but main engineering systems are well protected until re-commissioned after ownership changes. The Spring clean included teak treatment on her deck, ensuring that she sparkles.
Here are the before and after images…
ISIS OF SALCOMBE is still with her first owner. Maintained by Berthon since 2008 and serviced annually with no expense spared, she has recent sails and standing rigging and has always been kept in sparkling condition. The Moody 54 is a tremendous blue water cruising yacht that offers easy sailing with push button cutter rig, self-tacking jib and great deck space. Downstairs she has a massive saloon (with lovely upholstery) a huge owner’s cabin and great accommodation for a further 5 guests. Her biggest modesty is most definitely her price which is only £325,000 (VAT Paid).
