Latest Coronavirus update – 26th March
March 26th, 2020
Following the latest Government advice, Berthon has closed physical operations to protect staff, families and the wider Lymington community. From Tuesday morning Berthon staff started the epic task of closing down non-essential operations and making the final transition to working from home.
We thank all Berthon staff for practical support and personal fortitude whilst we navigated the uncharted waters of an ever-increasing storm which will continue for some time. It has not been an easy period for anyone and we are very grateful of our staff for adapting so quickly in battening the hatches and efficiently embracing a new way of life. We look forward to welcoming everyone back as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.
We now respectfully ask that you follow Government Guidelines and stay at home. Marinas are classed in the same way as caravan parks and holiday homes therefore not to be visited. Our team of project managers will be in contact if you had Berthon work in progress on your boat. These will be postponed until movement restrictions are lifted.
Our marina manager, Luke, and his team of Dockmasters, plus some core staff, will continue to be onsite 24/7 on a weekly rota. They will be keeping an eye on all the boats here, maintain security with the help of our 30 onsite security cameras, and tackle any emergencies that may arise.
Dockmasters will continue to carry out daily checks in the marina so that you do not need to visit in person. If you would like to discuss anything with Luke then please call 01590 647405.
Sales for Berthon International, Windy, Pearl motor yachts, Iguana, Solaris, Versadock, BHG, Gemini, Cox and other business functions will continue with all staff working from home. With access to work emails and work phones forwarded, please do not hesitate to get in touch whether you want to order a new dock, discuss works that need to be carried out on your boat or chat about a yacht that has caught your eye on our websites and of course on YouTube.
We hope we can all get back to normal as quickly as it began. While we are all at home, take this opportunity to relax, enjoy family time, catch up on those things that you have been meaning to do and don’t worry about your boat as we will be on site 24 hours a day.
We look forward to welcoming you back when we can officially say ‘normal service resumes’ and you can again make use of our state of the art facilities. Until that time stay safe and keep positive: we are all in this together.
