Boat Show Season is about to get underway, and here at Berthon we are as involved as ever – and we would like to invite you join us.
Cannes Boat Show is kicking off proceedings from 6th-11th September with one of the most glamorous shows in Europe http://www.cannesyachtingfestival.com.
It is a 1.45 hour flight from London airports and accommodation is easy to arrange – we would be delighted to help as we have an office close by. We will be showing the Advanced Yachts range, for which we are the agent on the East Coast of the USA http://www.advancedyachts.it/en
We will be showing the Advanced A80 and A44…
…as well as the Windy 31 Zonda, Windy 39 Camira Sun Lounge, the Windy SR52 and the Draco 27RS…
We are also showing the Dixon 73 LA LUNA in the Port Canto brokerage show, running at the same time, which also has a great selection of brokerage yachts http://www.cannesyachtingfestival.com/en/the-show/Port-Pierre-Canto
Following on from this, mid-September sees the Americans take the boat show baton from the French as they host their 46th annual Newport International Boat Show http://www.newportboatshow.com from 15th – 18th September…
Newport’s show covers 13 acres of the historic harbour, with a comprehensive selection of sail and power, and companies from all over the world exhibiting this year – over 600 in fact…so if you’re in the market for a blue water cruiser, a go anywhere mile-muncher or a sleek & speedy with all the mod-cons to get you from A to B, this is the show to visit.
Berthon USA will be showing NORTHERN LIGHT, this Nautor Swan 68, built in 2000, with 9 berths in 4 cabins and priced at $850,000…
…as well as AVATAR, the inimitable FPB 64, built in 2010 by Steve Dashew and on the market for $2,150,000…she’s a very special yacht indeed…
Also on offer at the show is a workshop covering the basics for tackling tropical cyclones (including how to avoid them) and also the opportunity for delegates to brush up on their marine weather skills with advice on route planning and marine weather prediction.
The Marriott Hotel in Newport has a selection of rooms set aside for the duration of the show, but spaces are going quickly and reservations must be made before 24th August http://www.newportboatshow.com/newport-boat-show-exhibitors/lodging-specials.htm
Whilst in Newport you can take advantage of the sights and activities on offer right on the doorstep, including a tour around the 11 impressive Newport Mansions on Ocean Drive http://www.newportmansions.org after which you can venture down Thames Street, Newport’s busiest street bustling with enough shops and eateries to suit all tastes and an experience not to be missed.
The next leg of boat show season sees the action move to Southampton and Berthon’s Collection 22, running concurrently from 16th – 25th of September and here at our Lymington HQ we will have around 100 brokerage yachts available on display.
Berthon’s Lymington HQ is situated on the Solent and the edge of the New Forest, which means we are perfectly placed for our clients to explore the sights right here on our doorstep such as Cowes, Hurst Castle, Beaulieu’s National Motor Museum, or the large variety of hotels, restaurants and shops.
Meanwhile, at Southampton Boat Show, Berthon will be celebrating Windy’s 50th Anniversary and exhibiting the Draco 27RS, perfect for comfortable cruising on the water, the Windy 29 Coho which offers superior handling and a versatile cockpit, the Windy 39 Camira with its latest updates and refinements on display, Windy’s famous 46 Chinook sports cruiser on show and the Windy 52 Xanthos, a premium quality, premium performance motor yacht. The Windy 39 Camira was 2015’s Motor Boat of the Year, whilst the Draco 27RS was 2015’s European Power Boat of the Year.
This promises to be one of our strongest displays to date, so be sure to pop in and we’ll be happy to show you the ropes.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to join us at any of the events mentioned above or if you require any further information.
