The FPB Programme is busy as Berthon manage the sales and marketing of these extraordinary yachts, designed by Steve and Linda Dashew and built magnificently by Circa Marine in New Zealand.
FPBs (Functional Power Boats) have been described as paradigm shifting in terms of long range motor yachting.
The range comprises FPB 64’ of which #11 is shortly to launch.
FPB 70’ – a new model with #1 just going into production now.
The FPB 78’ – #1 launches in June with 2 further hulls following her.
And the FPB 130’.
They offer ultimate stability, enormous range, surfing capability and solar array. More importantly they are conceived and designed for comfort and safety when at sea.
FPB 64 GREY WOLF is a rather special member of the fleet. She took part in the Long Voyage Home – a trip against prevailing winds and currents from her build yard in Whangarei, North Island to St Peter Port in the Channel Islands. You can follow the voyage –
GREY WOLF – The Long Voyage Home (ref. Leg 0-5 & Owners View)
Of course for Berthon this was a very special trip as Berthon apprentices were on-board for every leg, and the party that followed her arrival, was quite an event.
Since the Long Voyage Home, GREY WOLF and her crew has cruised to Svalbard, and Norway, via the Caledonian Canal. This trip can also be reviewed –
GREY WOLF is totally equipped for blue water and she is also fully RCD compliant. She was reviewed by Motorboat & Yachting and they liked her – a lot! –
With big GREY WOLF (FPB 78#2) fast taking shape, FPB 64 GREY WOLF has now arrived at Berthon to await her new crew and many more adventures. Full particulars of the yacht can be downloaded here.
