Sardinia is home to some of the most beautiful beaches Italy has to offer – here are a few –

Spiaggia Ira (Ira Beach) – Located in Punta Nuraghe, it is Porto Rotondo’s main beach and the longest. With marvellous views of Porto Rotondo Bay, the beach consists of white sand, transparent and shallow waters, making this beach suitable for children.

Spiaggia Punta Volpe – Is one of Porto Rotondo’s most beautiful beaches, it is the ideal place for snorkelling – it is 230 meters long.

Spiaggia di Li Cossi shown above ( Li Cossi beach) – Situated 2km south west of Costa Paradiso, the cove is tucked away and sheltered from the winds.

Spiaggia Rena Bianca (Rena Bianca Beach) – One of the top beaches in North Sardinia. It is the main beach of Santa Teresa Gallura and only a few meters away from the ancient village centre. This blue flag beach is 200m long and features some good snorkelling spots. La Torre di Longonsardo is worth a climb for the stunning views over the turquois waters.

Porto Rotondo’s marina and port has so much to offer which is why you will find most of the activities in the area are linked to the marina. Porto Rotondo has been awarded the Bandiere Blu (Blue Flag) and is recognised as one of the cleanest ports of the continent.

With a mild climate for most of the year, Sardinia is full of hidden gems and has a wealth of activities for everyone:

Why not try your hand at SUP (Stand up Paddle Boarding), to explore the various cliffs, hidden coves and stunning beaches that Sardinia has to offer. Cedrino Lake, Posada Rivulet and the waters of Cala Gonone are ideal for exploring the coast by kayak.

With its crystal clear waters, the island has numerous schools and specialised centres for kite and windsurfing, diving and snorkelling.

For those who want a bit of adventure, try Rio Zairi located in South Sardinia, it is a popular canyoning site. What better way to spend the afternoon jumping waterfalls, sliding down wet rock slopes and climbing down cliffs by rope. Bitan provide various tours of Sardinia.

Sardinia has monuments, like the giant Coddu Vecchiu tomb. Take a trip to the Church of San Lorenzo, it is hidden from the main road but once found you’ll be amazed at its modern architecture.

Golf clubs are not in short supply in Sardinia;

Pevero Golf Club:
Designed by American architect Robert Trent Jones, this golf club is one of the most beautiful courses in the world for its stunning panoramic views as the course meanders its way along the Costa Smerald. It can be found a few km from Petra Segreta.

Puntaldia Golf Club:
This 9 hole enchanted course runs along the coastline. An incredible setting of charming bays, makes Puntaldia more than just a golf club.
