This 2009 Hardy 42 is a common sight on the Solent – with her Owners (and requisite ship’s doggy) enjoying her seaworthy build, masterful finish and superb aft cabin. Kept mainly to the confines of the Solent this season, she is eminently capable of distant horizons, and her current keepers confirm that she has never let them down.
She is routinely maintained by the Berthon Boat Company, and was slipped earlier this season for a full wash, check over and scrub up underneath to keep her fast and correct under way. Her MANs will happily push her along at 27 knots if you are in a hurry, but she is relaxed and smooth throughout her rev range – with her cruising speed set around 21 knots.
A huge array of kit is packed away into her structure, and her handsome, seamanlike looks belie a beautifully up-to-date set of systems. Seriously for sale – this is the best 42 available today.
