If you are looking for a recent, beautifully prepared and rigorously-maintained semi-displacement motor-yacht, then “LADY AZURE” must be on your bucket list. Built for her current Owners in 2013, she is the most highly-specified Aquastar 49 to come to the brokerage market. This is the latest development of the tried and tested deep-water, well-keeled hull which has graced Aquastar’s range of commercially-derived cruisers from the 45 upward. The price has just been dropped to £549,000.
Fine rougher-weather handling allows much more comfortable cruising, with 25 knot performance on demand, and relaxed mid-teens cruise. Twin reliable D9 diesels from Volvo Penta (c.400 hours only and regularly serviced) provide the grunt, with their electronic management package providing a far smoother burn and improved efficiency. Wesmar stabilisation ensures roll reduction on passages, thanks to a Gyro controller, and a full suite of Raymarine HybridTouch navigation kit assists navigation.
In terms of accommodation, this 49 has 6 berths in three cabins, with a class-leading aft double ensuite cabin (separate shower stall to port, and separate heads to starboard). Choice Maple joinery, large port-lights and opening vents ensure that the Owners suite is light, fresh and airy, with plenty of both locker and hanging space for kit, and a centreline double berth.
Up forward, the bow VIP cabin again has separate shower and separate heads, with twin single scissor berths making a double, and a twin guest side cabin (with upper bunk) makes up the six berths. As with all later Aquastars, the galley and saloon trim is first-class. Rich mahogany, quality leathers and select soft furnishings set off stainless steel appliances and hard-wearing surfaces for maximum durability.
From the skipper’s point of view, a well-sorted lower helm with twin adjustable seats and a superb console, is a great refuge from the weather (or the heat); whilst the fly-bridge has sociable seating and a fully-equipped open command position to starboard. Having the aft cabin also allows Aquastar to mould in a raised seating area in the aft cockpit, which is protected by a pair of electrically-operated sunroofs, and removable side curtains – so there is plenty of space on board for the crew to spread themselves around in.
Lying in full commission on Jersey, we note that “LADY AZURE” is available free of VAT for qualifying parties. Please call Hugh Rayner on 01590 647444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for a viewing appointment on this rare listing.
