The Windy 29 Coho was reviewed as “perhaps the best sub-30 driver’s boat in the world” by Motor Boats Monthly and is a true benchmark in sports boat design. Her legendary deep-v hull is remarkably capable and offers a truly refined on-water experience.
Windy 29 Coho TWISMO and ARGENTIUM are both fitted with the popular Volvo D6-400 engines, which offers a fantastic balance of performance, acceleration and service cost. With economy of circa 45-50 litres an hour at cruising speed, running costs are very reasonable.
TWISMO was first delivered in 2016 and has been used locally here in the Solent for day trips, and offers options such as diesel fired heating system, holding tank and Raymarine ES127 plotter with sounder and stylish vinyl hull wrap.
ARGENTIUM was delivered in 2017 and has been kept on the dry stack in Poole Harbour. The vendor has used her for day trips in the harbour and the occasional adventure. She is also fitted with the metallic painted hull stripe, hot water system and has not been anti-fouled.
The D6-400 also comes with the latest Volvo Penta throttle control with power trim assistance as standard. This means that the outdrive leg will trim in-line with the RPM, but can be over ridden at the touch of a button, when you need to trim to the conditions.
The cabin on the 29 is nicely finished with a comfortable double v-berth and separate heads compartment. There is also a well-appointed galley with plenty of space for storage and a standard diesel fired hob, which allows cooking without the need for gas.
The cockpit is also very usable with comfortable helm and co-pilot seats and social aft u-shaped design with a removable table. The large aft sun pad has an adjustable back rest, which can be pushed all the way aft. The cockpit can also be quickly protected from the elements with a quality canopy, where the bars simply fold up into position and the canopy unfolds.
