Nautor Swan 56 AKARANA is a stunning Frers design with a carbon rig and a lovely Hugh Welbourne t keel, which reduces her draft to 2.8m – from her sisters’ rather deeper number at 3.4m.

Her rig was repainted in 2012 and she had a new teak toerail at that time, with a new 10mm teak deck following in 2014.
She has nice North Sails, a stack pack system on the mainsail for easy short-handed sailing and she is terrific up wind.
Down below, she comes with the lovely, beautifully crafted honey teak interior, which is the trademark of Nautor Swan. The joinery is in excellent condition and her teak and holly soleboards have been protected from the beginning so they are virtually faultless.
AKARANA has a proper family layout with a large offset double in the owners’ stateroom forward with en-suite head and shower. Ahead of this is the forepeak with a work area, storage bins and occasional pipecot berth.
The main saloon has a large table and seating to starboard in leather with two lovely Nautor chairs and a sofa to port. Aft is a large chart table. AKARANA runs on B&G and has communications. Then there is a day head with shower, which also serves the two twin cabins aft which are perfect for family members or guests.
Between them is access to the aft cockpit and hence on deck for passage making.
She has a proper engine room with Yanmar and Westerbeke generator as well as a watermaker and all is in great shape.
On deck, she has a hydraulic swim platform and her topsides and superstructure are original gel and look fab.

AKARANA was bought by these owners in Newport. Rhode Island – from our office there, when she was LOLITA. She sailed across the Atlantic back to the Solent. She is UK VAT paid.
