Berthon Sales Group – Sales Support Manager – 1 Year Maternity Cover
Reports to: Sue Grant
- To cover for 1-year’s maternity leave starting in January 2025, with a preference for an earlier start date.
- This is a full-time position working from 08:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break. Alternatively, you may choose to work from 08:00 to 17:00. There may be after-hours work and some weekend work during events that we stage, but time off in lieu will be provided.
- Salary: £32,000 to £38,000, depending on experience.
Profile:
We are looking for someone to join our tight-knit team at the Berthon Sales Group – Lymington, UK office. Good organizational skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work well in a team are essential. We seek a candidate who can learn quickly and integrate smoothly into the team, particularly in collaboration with Marketing.
Below are the key functions that need to be covered. If some of these are not within your current skill set but you are willing to learn, we are keen to hear from you.
Role:
- The Listings Manager and Administrator work closely with the Sales Support Manager, forming the Marketing Team. It will be important to take a proactive role in preparing listings and learning how to input yacht listings on all platforms. A deep understanding of the procedures surrounding this function will be crucial for successfully managing this role.
- Involved with all marketing functions—publications, advertising, social media, and everything related to how we present both the yachts we are selling and the public face of the Berthon Sales Group.
- Working with the team on direct marketing initiatives, including the Berthon Book, Winter Collection, and Market Report.
- Working with the World Cruising Club to organize the Bluewater Open Day, which will take place in May 2025 at our Lymington base in the UK.
- Copywriting for marketing materials of all types, including writing articles, yacht descriptions, and providing copy to support events.
- Responsible for managing the holiday calendar and weekend duty rota for the brokers and support team to ensure that we always have proper coverage for the office.
- Responsible for titles, contracts, and other support as needed for ongoing deals.
- Providing cover for brokers when they are out of the office.
- Keeping track of current ongoing deals and their statuses, and reporting this to the MD.
- Being familiar with all yachts for sale in the UK office and having a good working knowledge of yachts listed at other offices.
- Assisting with viewings and sea trials of Lymington-based yachts as needed.
- Having a PB Level 2 qualification for driving the company RIB for photoshoot support would be an advantage.
