Berthon are looking for an experienced Yacht painter to supplement our team of highly skilled painters, working on private yachts and commercial vessels in our purpose built paint facilities.
The following attributes are essential for this role:
- Completion of a Marine yacht painting apprenticeship including City & Guilds Level 3 or an equivalent apprenticeship in another sector.
- Minimum 5 years spray painting experience
- Good working knowledge of 2-pack paint systems
- Spray application of vessels up to 100’ LOA
- Filling and Fairing
- Masking
- Good eye for detail
- Reliable
- Motivated
- Ability to work unsupervised to exacting standards
- Proven industry track record
The following attributes are desirable for this role:
- Good working knowledge of Alexseal, Awlgrip and Joton paint systems
- Good working knowledge of hand painting techniques
- Interior
- Exterior
- Varnishing
- Antifouling
