Summary

Manage team of valeters with overall responsibility for providing high quality and efficient cleaning of boat interiors and exteriors, company vehicles, washroom facilities, marina pontoons, gantries and shipyard work areas

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage valeting team ensuring quality of finished product
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients including berth holders, brokerage, MOD
  • Prioritise and schedule work and issue job instructions
  • Liaise with clients, managers and brokers
  • Estimating, invoicing, collecting payment and record keeping
  • Increase client base by promoting available services
  • Manage stock levels of cleaning products and consumables
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained in serviceable condition
  • Provide training on cleaning products and processes
  • Ensure all Health & Safety measures are in place and maintained including Work at Height, Work on Water, COSHH, Safe operation of equipment and use of products
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles are maintained in serviceable condition
  • Cleaning of pontoons on Marina, Yard wall and Shipyard house
  • Cleaning of gantries and yard work areas
  • Cleaning of washroom facilities

Safety, risk assessment and environmental awareness

In depth knowledge of equipment and product use (incl. hazardous substances)

Ability to operate company ERP system (training provided)

Competent user of Microsoft Office packages

Strong communication skills to manage staff

 

Desirable

Proven track record in the leisure marine industry with minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role

Superyacht finish experience

 

For the right person the role will grow to include additional responsibilities in the Yacht, Maintenance and Repair department.
