Introducing the Dtorque 50, the world’s only 50 hp turbo marine diesel outboard engine. Made by marine professionals, for marine professionals.
With close to 500,000 engine hours in the field, in addition to Neander’s own testing, the Dtorque 50 is an engine that will always get you home safely.
The Neander Dtorque Turbo Diesel sets a new standard in diesel engineering. Its 804 ccm twin-cylinder aluminium powerhead delivers 50 hp at the propeller shaft. With a remarkable torque output, topping at 111 Nm at 2,500 rpm, the Dtorque out-performs the finest 70 hp fuel injected four-stroke petrol outboards on the market. This gives the Dtorque an incomparable capability to power substantial loads at low RPM as well as the capability to get on plane quickly, both with a very modest fuel consumption, averaging 12 litres per hour.

40 % Better Fuel Efficiency

The Neander Dtorque 50 offers service intervals of 250 hours versus the 100 hours on an equivalent gasoline outboard, meaning you can focus on day to day operations.
Your time is your money. Minimise your downtime.
With full compliance with EU RDC Stage II regulations, the Dtorque 50 is a low emissions outboard engine. Besides using on average 40% less fuel than equivalent gasoline outboards, a huge advantage to running a Neander Dtorque 50 is the ability to access low emissions zones.
Running a Dtorque 50 could reduce your carbon footprint by 25% when compared to a petrol outboard engine.
The Dtorque has a two-cylinder, common rail, turbocharged diesel engine that uses a unique system of dual counter-rotating crankshafts in an aluminium block. This technology, with its patented ‘spaceball’ design, helps to reduce vibrations and noise. Another advantage of these crankshafts is the lack of rotating and operating (steering) torques. This results in less fatigue during the engine’s operation
The Dtorque exceeds EU RDC Stage II emissions regulations and is SOLAS MED B (EC type examination) certified, EPA in progress.
The Dtorque 50 enables NATO members to comply with the single fuel policy.
