TRUE HEADING is in truly excellent condition. No expense has been spared on the upkeep of this lovely yacht. Still in her original ownership, she has spent her much of her life in Northern climes, negating the possibility of any damage from UV.
Arcona build high quality cruising yachts that are rewarding to sail with powerful sailing performance. That said – their thoughtful deck layouts and sail handling system make them easy to handle with family crews.
The comfortable interior is welcoming and beautifully crafted. It has been maintained well in all respects and the woodwork is perfect.
She is ready to go and highly recommended to view.
The nomination and win of the European Yacht of the year 2009 made me very interested in the Arcona 430. By sailing a Grand Soleil 40 before ordering the new 430 in 2011, I could really tell the difference between a quality boat and a larger volume production like the Grand Soleil.
I was impressed by the performance and layout of the 430 and a dream came true when the yacht was delivered to me end of June 2011.
During the years my family, consisting of my wife and 2 daughters, have enjoyed a perfect holiday home, as well lots of fun with friends and some racing. The boat was not raced for the first 4 years but since 2014 she has participated in 3 double handed 300 nautical mile regattas and 3 around Gotland Races in the Baltic.
This summer she also participated in Copa del Rey for the fun.
TRUE HEADING has been kept in mint condition since launch and all maintenance and support has either been done by myself or by highly skilled professionals.
From 2011 to 2015 the yacht was kept indoors, with mast taken off every winter – from November to May.
In 2018 TRUE HEADING was sailed to Palma and kept in RCNP from July 2018.
For cruising we are rarely passed by other yachts and she is easily handled by just me and my wife. The yacht has also been equipped with all necessary equipment and extras that we required for longer trips.
Since 2011 when we picked her up in Kungshamn Sweden TRUE HEADING sailed home from the Swedish west coast to her home port of Bullandö in Stockholm, Sweden. She then only sailed in the Baltic until 2018.
Lots of fun was had cruising on the beautiful Stockholm archipelago. In 2015 the family sailed to Estonia and then home through the Finnish and Åland archipelago.
In 2016 we sailed from Stockholm to Copenhagen non-stop and enjoyed a fantastic summer cruise from Copenhagen down to Germany and then along the Polish coast to Sopot and then back home again.
With our kids grown up, we feel it’s time to downscale and return to cruising in our home waters. TRUE HEADING will always be thought of as my perfect yacht, having been an active navy officer for 13 years and sailed since I was only a few months old.
