Some of the best yachts in the world are designed to fulfil a need rather than a desire. Some a desire rather than a need. SASKIA TOO has been designed simply for both. A desire that became a need. From the accomplished studio of Frers, who are world renowned for producing some of the most balanced and aesthetically pleasing yachts in the world, and built in pre-preg carbon with a Nomex core, by Composite works in La Ciotat. She is enormously strong, and light. Most of the world’s fastest racing yachts are built using exactly the same materials and techniques.
Saskia Too is a very contemporary yacht and the marine equivalent of a café racer. She was designed by Frers in 2005 for shorthanded fun sailing.
All controls lead back to the aft cockpit and she can easily be handled by a small crew, but gives a safe and fun environment to relax in. In the unlikely scenario of inclement weather, the interior is bright and airy, due to the full plexiglass coachroof with full facilities on board for four people if you decide to stay the night.
The roller boom furling and below deck jib furling make her so simple to sail, without needing to leave the cockpit. An additional (standard) boom is available if you like to compete.
She is constantly updated, and this winter (2016 / 2017) her paint has been touched up, standing rigging replaced, antifouling repainted and the rig repainted. She really is absolutely ready to go.
