One of the best Najads ever built and CA CANNY must be one of the best 400’s out there. She is fully spec’d for Bluewater cruising with generator and water maker which have been added by her current owner. She has spent the last 5 years cruising the Med and has been incredibly well maintained. She also of course boasts Najad good looks, beautiful internal joinery and tardis like innards at only 40 ft. There really isn’t much left to add to her apart from food, wine, water and fuel!
CA CANNY (Go Carefully) was purchased from the Najad yard in Orust, Sweden by her first US owners and sailed in Scandanavia and the Western Isles of Scotland. I bought the boat in Stavanger Norway in 2008 and with a partner sailed her back to the UK where she is now registered (VAT paid) CA CANNY sailed in the West Country and Channel Islands before sailing to Lagos in 2014 with the World Cruising Club’s ARC Portugal. I fitted the boat out for blue water sailing and the water maker and generator to provide lots of opportunities to anchor in remote locations for extended periods. And sail in comfort on extended passages. Since then she has sailed in the Mediterranean – Morocco, Spain, Balearics, Sardinia and Sicily. Najads are built with very high quality materials which stand up to life at sea. Outstanding in offshore conditions with a sea kindly motion – she is also agile enough to cope with tricky berthing. In the 10 years I have owned CA CANNY she has been lovingly cared for. Unlike her owner she looks younger than her years. And is often admired for her classic lines.
