The Windy SR52 Blackbird combines the flair of her Dubois styling with the superb quality DNA and on-water ability expected from any Windy yacht. She is supremely capable, but also practical with owners often remarking on the notable ability of their Windy tender when compared to the competition.
This is a brand new example of the Windy SR52 Blackbird, currently in production and due to be completed in January 2020 with the ability to currently make modifications to her specification (subject to confirmation at the time of formal order). She benefits from the new Volvo IPS 800 engines, which achieve a top speed up to 43kts and a fast cruising range in excess of 500nm depending on conditions.
She is also fitted with the intuitive Volvo Glass cockpit system and the Volvo Joystick control, which allows for easy docking and close quarter manoeuvring. The glass cockpit integrates with the sound system, chart plotter, autopilot, AIS and other yachts systems. There is the possibility to upgrade to the Volvo DPS system, which automatically holds the boats position and heading. The DPS is a very nice feature for tender applications, particularly if the yacht will be required to hold station for long periods or will be operated shorthanded.
The T-top has been extended aft for added protection as per the rendering. A large sun pad is situated aft with social seating amidships, served by a generous wet bar configured with fridge, ice maker, microwave oven and bbq. There is the option to add fore and aft sun shades with carbon poles and a forward sun pad.
The yacht can also be specified with a notable towing eye depending on operational requirements.
The cockpit is finished throughout with quality teak and the option of a lacquered finish. A bow rider seat has been specified and there is a large lazarette forward of the console. There are also further lockers in the cockpit sole, which can be specified as additional cold storage / fridges.
Berthon International has been working closely with Windy Scandinavia for over twenty years and have delivered many successful yacht projects. We would be delighted to discuss your personal requirements.
The images within this specification are of a similar yacht which features the short version of the t-top roof. This yacht has the extended t-top which can be seen in the renderings.
