The Role
We are looking for creative individuals to join a team who take pride in their work, with an excellent eye for detail and good communication skills, dedicated to producing the high quality standards Berthon are known for in our world-class painting and spraying facilities.
Requirements
The following attributes are essential for this role:
- 2-pack paint systems
- Ability to work unsupervised to exacting standards
- Excellent eye for detail
- Filling and fairing and spray application to yacht refinish standards
- Motivated
- Proven Marine industry track record
- Reliable
The following attributes are desirable for this role:
- Good working knowledge of Awlgrip and International 2-pack paint systems
- Good working knowledge of hand painting techniques
- Interior
- Exterior
- Varnishing
- Antifouling
Responsibilities
- Applying various base coats and finishes
- Mix and measure paint
- Cut consoles ready for fit out
- Prep work — oven bake items for spraying / carry out GRP repairs (including filling and fairing) as necessary / ensuring 1st time quality and finish / development of new
- materials and paint mixes
- Applying various base coats and finishes to GRP items. Mix and measure paint and off site spraying as required
