Berthon News – July
July 15th, 2022
Summer has arrived! We hope you have already enjoyed plenty of time on the water, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that the weather will afford us some long glorious summer days over the coming weeks and months.
Here’s a quick update on what has been happening at Berthon this year.
Devoted Dave retires after nearly 50 years at Berthon
Dave Street started at Berthon on the 4th of September 1972 and has decided to retire after nearly 50 years of continuous service.
Dave joined as an engineering apprentice and vividly remembered the older engineers thinking, “I won’t be working here when I’m that age”. Little did he know that he would make many life-long friends along the way with his gentle, kind and warm character.
Music on the Marina is back for the third year running, and we can’t wait! If you are a berth holder or visiting yacht we hope you can join us – everyone who attends has a ball!
